Training A1 and B1 - Rimfire / Centrefire Rifle and Shotgun

At Practical Shooting SA we have SAPOL Accredited Firearm Safety Training Instructors who conduct regular approved courses for those wanting to qualify for a new Firearms Licence A1 and/or B1 (Shooting Club), and also for existing shooters who just need to upgrade their current Firearms Licence to add Category 1 (Shooting Club).

The application process can appear complex and it is important that you tick the correct boxes for your requirements. Therefore don’t hesitate to contact us and we will happily assist with any questions and guidance.

To qualify for a new Firearms Licence A1 and/or B1 you must first obtain SAPOL approval (PD303). The course comprises of 2 x Classroom safety and theory lessons and 2 x (or more if required) practical lessons. There is a $30 fee to cover the cost of the ammunition and items that you use. *** For Club Members who only need to upgrade their current Firearms Licence to add Category 1 (Shooting Club) you must first obtain SAPOL approval (PD307). The complimentary training course involves safety, theory and practical lessons. Contact us to enrol. ***
